What are the responsibilities and job description for the UM Coordinator position at Prairie View?
Prairie View is currently looking for a full-time, Utilization Management Coordinator to join our team. Must have either a BSN or MSW. Previous experience working in utilization review. Previous experience working in a psychiatric setting will set you apart; leadership experience in these area preferred. Position is located in Newton, KS.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Utilization Management - responsible for organizing and monitoring utilization management function and collaborating with appropriate treatment teams when evaluating and establishing appropriateness of admission and continued stay.
Demonstrate knowledge and skills of the requirements for Utilization Management for Federal and State (Medicare, Medicaid) and private third party partners by monitoring continued stay reviews.
Computer Software – demonstrate basic computer knowledge. Obtain strong knowledge of our EMR system by providing support and be able to assist/keep up with changes as necessary.
Confidentiality – must be able to demonstrate high degree of confidentiality, with the ability to work independently and prioritization.
