The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who will manage and oversee the company's financial records. You will be responsible for maintaining all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts. This position has oversight of the entire accounting function. The role focuses on accounting, cash forecasting, budgeting, payroll, and tax & financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities
- Assembles the monthly and quarterly reporting books for management and the Board of Directors
- Prepares all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies
- Provides thorough analysis of business performance to accompany results and reports
- Oversees the local business accounting resources to ensure consistent accounting methodologies are utilized throughout the enterprise
- Leads the annual budgeting process
- Hands-on management of all aspects of the accounting function of the organization to ensure credibility by providing timely and accurate financial reporting, account analysis, and account reconciliations and other management reports on a timely basis
- Ensures proper cost allocation models are developed and maintained throughout the organization
- Responsibility for A/R, A/P, sales & use tax, and payroll functions, as well as proper recording of transactions and adjusting entries
- Constantly maintains cash flow projection and oversees cash management including Customer communications and collections
- Develops, implements, and manages a system of accounting policies and procedures
- Creates, establishes, revises, adapts, and enforces Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all accounting functions
- Maintains a system of internal control policies and procedures to ensure (1) compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local laws and rules for financial and tax reporting, (2) safeguarding corporate assets and (3) assurance that reporting systems accurately capture all financial data
- Supervises / Reviews the work of others
- All Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Must be a licensed CPA
- BS/BA in Accounting
- 6 years overall hands-on accounting and supervisory experience
- Experience with accounting for multiple legal entities including consolidations and intercompany transactions (preferred)
- Excellent technical accounting skills; including experience with bookkeeping, payroll, purchasing, and cash flow management
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with ability to effectively communicate with all levels in the organization
- Strong analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when necessary
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with real estate and/or construction accounting (preferred)
- Experience with ERP and Accounting software program implementations (preferred)
- A self-starter, results oriented, high level of personal integrity and dependability, and a strong sense of urgency
