Shift Leader
Job Summary
As a Shift Leader at our establishment, you will play a pivotal role in leading our team to deliver exceptional service in a dynamic hospitality setting. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring seamless service delivery, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. Your leadership will be instrumental in upholding our reputation and fostering a positive work environment.
Duties
- Set an example by demonstrating excellent customer service and professionalism.
- Lead and inspire team members to pursue operational excellence.
- Manage shift schedules and assign tasks effectively.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues swiftly and politely.
- Keep a tidy and organized workspace to maintain hygiene standards.
- Work with management to develop strategies for business growth.
- Provide training for team members on service standards and product knowledge.
- Greet each day with a smile and engage customers in sincere conversation.
-Familiarize yourself with the "Why's" of the PJ's Brand to confidently answer customer queries. Learn the PJ's menu, new limited-time offers, and food items to suggest enhancements that enrich the customer experience and knowledge.
-Craft all beverages and food items to meet PJ’s Coffee standards and ensure customer satisfaction.
-Collaborate with the team to complete daily tasks and duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
-Consistently provide top-tier customer service to both team members and customers.
-Monitor all cash handling processes carefully.
-Inform management about operational requirements, equipment malfunctions, and suggested improvements.
-Uphold and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
-Participate in training sessions to expand coffee knowledge and job skills, then apply this knowledge in practice.
-Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (5-8 hours generally)
-Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
-Must have the stamina to work 25-40hours per week.
Experience
- Previous experience in leadership roles within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with fine dining, hotel, banquet, or quick-service fast-food restaurant environments is advantageous.
- Strong background in customer service with a focus on exceeding expectations.
- Knowledge of food industry practices and culinary trends is beneficial.
- Proficiency in interviewing, training, and developing staff members.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining composure under pressure.
