Summary: The Project Manager (PM) position has a key role in the success of the firm. The PM is the main contact with the client and is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the projects under him/her.
Position Reporting Structure: This position has a direct reporting relationship to the Studio Partner - Milwaukee office.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises 1 to 5 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Key Corporate Relationships: This position works closely with all partners, design/production teams, and other project managers within the firm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities in no specific order: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Client contact, including presentations
- Responsible for the overall quality of project design to maintain firm design standards
- Responsible for overall maintenance of project schedules, budget, content and quality control of drawings and specifications and for the project through the construction phase.
- Coordinate all internal personnel including designers, interiors, and specification staff
- Coordinate all outside consultants
- Coordinate all internal personnel at remote office locations.
- Responsible for business development including marketing of new clients, presentations, and trade shows
- May act as mentor to project managers and new team members.
- Review of financial reports from business administration department
- Plays active role in managing client relationship to ensure timely payment of all invoices.
- Responsible for daily management of assigned personnel
- Conduct employee reviews of assigned personnel
