This is a 3rd Shift position: Monday - Friday, 11:15 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Training will be on 1st or 2nd shift.
Candidates must stay in a position for 12 months before posting to a new position.
Summary: Working on the production line you will inspect blades and vanes as well as perform over-inspects for operators. These positions require shift work and ability to work overtime when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work from applicable written inspection procedures, drawings, and other pertinent instructions to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspection on parts, tools, gages and other equipment, accept material or referring for rework or quality review based on findings and perform necessary problem solving to determine extent of nonconformance and complete documentation, perform Solumina required job audits for Op Cert surveillance, perform OpCert overinspects, as required
- Maintains current knowledge of and complies with customer/Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)/Joint Aviation Administration (JAA) technical data as applicable to the work assigned.
- Train other operators to perform work tasks, provide technical support and maintain a strong working relationship with the operations team, demonstrate and maintain effective leadership skills and exhibit consistent skill and positive attitude towards their job while demonstrating the highest degree of quality and productivity.
- Familiarity with plant tools, equipment and inspection gauges: Follow proper procedures to perform in-line checks and verification of dimensions and make sure that process steps are being followed, use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments including automated measuring machines where program instructions are well defined to check dimensions and record results
- Bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, working overtime as needed, may be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one’s skills. Responsibilities are not limited to the listed items above and can be changed or modified based on skill level, proficiency, and overall performance. Detailed inspection cert is required at the conclusion of training.
Basic Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Previous Inspection experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with existing Pratt and Whitney inspection Final or QRC stamp.
