Job Summary:

Pratt & Whitney Hot Section Engineering team is seeking a goal-oriented, detail-focused engineering leader to work on Mid Turbine Frames for all GTF programs (PW1100G, PW1500G, PW1900G and GTFA) as Deputy CIPT Leader for the GTF MTF CIPT. This position requires proven leadership, excellent communication skills, EVMS experience and well rounded general project engineering skills. The CIPT deputy is a key role in the CIPT responsible for leading multiple cross-functional IPT activity within the CIPT.

Key Responsibilities:

• The deputy supports the CIPT in ownership and accountability for multiple aspects of hardware and tasks including overall schedule, technical aspects, financial budgeting and financial tracking.

• The CIPT deputy will often speak for the CIPT in front of the System Integrated Product Team (SIPT), Systems Aftermarket Integrated Product Team (SAIPT), Integrated Program Management Team (IPMT), and with Engineering and Operations Senior Leadership.

• Additionally, the CIPT Deputy is often in discussions directly with suppliers, the Airframe customer, and at times the Airline customer. Topics during these discussions will cover technical, industrial, and financial aspects of new product design, production support, and support of the field / aftermarket.

• As part of the CIPT leadership team, the CIPT deputy will work closely with the discipline supervisors that support the CIPT along with engagement of the IPT leaders as they plan and execute their tasks aligned with the budget and schedule.

• The CIPT deputy will report out regularly to the Program at recurring monthly program financial reviews and manage tasks within their area of responsibility.

Basic Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering.

• 10 years of total P&W and Industry or Engineering experience or 7 years with an advance degree.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Engineering.

• 5 years’ experience in Hot Section across multiple hardware families.

• Prior team leadership positions as an IPT leader.

• Experience working with the flight safety office and with creating safety risk assessments.

• Project management experience and ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines.

• EVMS experience.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• The ability to build positive relationships across diverse IPTs.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis. The expectation for this role is the employee typically be onsite four days a week.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
