Precept Wine is the largest privately-owned wine company in the Northwest. We’re seamlessly integrated to run our own vineyards, wineries and world-class tasting rooms. We are currently seeking qualified individuals to assist with the 2022 harvest at our Waterbrook Winery in Walla Walla, WA from now until December. This position could lead to a full-time position after harvest.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operate crushing equipment and sorting fruit
- Remove pomace and grapes from tanks
- Lead barrel cleaning, stacking and filling
- Support washing of tanks, hoses and presses
- Facilitate pump overs with harvest crew
- Assist unloading grapes truck
- Organize receiving and transfer of wines
- Responsible for inoculations and additions
- Pursue equipment sanitation and cleaning the winery
- General cleaning and sanitizing all equipment and work areas
- Perform other duties, responsibilities as required or assigned
Ideal candidate will have:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work long hours
- Walk and stand for long periods of time
- Climb up and down stairs and ladders
- Maintaining a positive attitude
- Winery experience is a plus but not required.
- Forklift experience is a major plus
- Reliable transportation
