We have an opportunity for a Final Inspector in our EDN Aviation/Velocity Van Nuys, California location. This position will perform a variety of tests and inspects products at various stages of production process. Compiles statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products, performs final inspection on customer units.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, formulas, and technical manuals
- Confers with quality control, engineering, and production to determine reliability
- Perform and record statistical data based upon performance of specific aircraft number
- Perform quality control checks on warranty item to determine cause and corrective action
- Perform final buy-off inspections prior to shipping to ensure product meets specifications
- Maintain knowledge of FAA regulations, international standards and customer requirements
- Ensures technicians follow OEM documents, customer orders and standard practices
Ideal candidates offer the:
- Knowledge of Federal Aircraft Regulations (FAR)
- Minimum 3-5 years’ related experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, Standard Repair Manuals (SRM) and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM)
- Ability to understand written/verbal instructions in English
- Ability to obtain an FAA Repairman Certificate
- Experience in aircraft component installation, repair and overhaul
- Familiarity with aircraft specifications as applied to final and in-process inspections
- Hands-on, direct experience with components preferred
