Velocity Aerospace Group, a subsidiary of Precision Aviation Group (PAG), has an immediate opportunity for a Shipping and Receiving Associate in our EDN, Van Nuys, California location.
The Shipping and Receiving Associate position will verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment by performing the duties to quality and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Unpack, examine, record and route incoming shipments
- Receive and process all defective parts returned for replacement or credit
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
- Perform all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods
- Support the shipment of all goods (produced and received)
- Arrange/plan for pick up as specified on purchase order
- Communicate final inspection based on shipping instructions
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
- Always keep an adequate supply of shipping materials
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Follow safety regulations

- Ability to read, write and understand verbal instructions in English

- Ability to work overtime, shift/weekends when needed
- Physical requirements: stand long periods, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and climb; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus, able to lift and/or move items up to 50lbs.
