Position Summary:
Reporting to the Dir. Of Eng/Prod Dev., the Divisional Estimator will be responsible for the coordination, and continuity of the organizations Business Development opportunities, tools, and processes.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ability to comprehend and work with large complex models.
- Ability to read and comprehend all related aerospace engineering documents.
- Develop detailed cost estimates for aerospace offerings
- Demonstrate understanding of direct and indirect influences on product costs.
- Investigate, interpret, and make recommendations related to OEM specifications and requirements to assist company's bidding and costing approach.
- Conduct Make/Buy analysis and make recommendations, as required.
- Communicate with internal and external customers and respond to customer inquiries and support as required.
- Demonstrate knowledge of assembly processes related to aerospace products, other applicable aerospace qualifications, knowledge or experience.
- Understand various types of materials used in manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrate knowledge of various aerospace OEM Process Specifications.
- Ability to understand drafting/blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Demonstrate knowledge of manufacturing tool types and usages.
- Ability to understand aerospace configuration management system, aerospace manufacturing techniques and knowledge of "special processes".
- Conduct assessments and provide recommendations related to new bid opportunities.
- Support the development and implementation of departmental tools and processes as needed.
- Ensure departmental processes as set forth by the department manager are being followed.
- Follows company procedures at the completion of each quote to gain appropriate approval.

Qualifications:
- S. Eng. Field or Equivalent
- Minimum 7 years machine part manufacturing/estimating experience.
- 7 years of Aerospace experience
- Superior Excel Skills/Knowledge
- 3 years of hands-on use w/ CATIA V5
- Must be able to read and dissect blueprints to determine process surface treatment requirements, raw material and hardware requirements, machining cycle and set up times.
- Must be familiar with CNC machinery including milling, turning grinding and honing
- Knowledge of CNC programming beneficial
- Must be familiar with fixturing.
- Knowledge of estimating machined components made from Aluminum and exotic aerospace materials such as Titanium, Inconel, Stainless and PH steels essential

- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent MS Office skills
