SHIPPING& CUSTOMER CERTIFICATION
1. Provides direction in the packaging of goods for shipment by various methods such as placing in boxes, mounting on skids, shrink wrapping or placing in crates. Builds skids and crates used. Determined by Customer requirements.
2. Provides direction in the pulling and/or assembling materials from inventory for shipment.
3. Prepares shipping documentation, i.e. Labels, Bill of Lading, Packing Slip, Commercial Invoices, NAFTA forms if required, etc. for both U.S. and international locations.
4. Determines optimum method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates. Coordinates with customer for customer routed freight.
5. Processes shipment either online via the freight companies software (i.e. UPS Worldship, FEDEX, Conway) or makes arrangements verbally or via email with freight forwarders.
6. Prepare shipping Certification for Customer Shipments for approval through QA.
7. Update Multiple Customer Websites with Customer shipment information.
8. Responsible for providing freight quotes for the sales and estimating department.
- HS Diploma with demonstrated applicable job experience strongly preferred; will consider equivalent applicable experience, such as 5 years’ supervisory experience in a high volume consumer goods operation.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a large team environment.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and technical skills; attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Familiarity with management and implementation of warehouse management systems (WMS).
- ERP Experience with Oracle is a plus
- Supervisory Experience preferred.
