Maintenance Support

As a Maintenance Support employee at Precision Coating, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to provide assistance and support to the maintenance team in various tasks and projects. You will work closely with maintenance technicians, supervisors, and other team members to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities:

· Assist maintenance technicians in performing routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.

· Conduct basic troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify equipment malfunctions and report findings to the maintenance team.

· Assist in maintaining inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and supplies.

· Perform general maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, and organizing the maintenance workshop or storage areas.

· Support the maintenance team in responding to equipment breakdowns or emergencies, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal downtime.

· Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

· Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure efficient workflow.

· Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance records, including work orders, equipment maintenance logs, and inventory records.

· Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest ideas to enhance maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Prior experience in a maintenance support role or a similar position is preferred.

· Basic knowledge of industrial machinery, equipment, and systems.

· Familiarity with hand and power tools commonly used in maintenance activities.

· Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, and schematics.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

· Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.

· Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively.

· Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.

Physical Demand:

· Lifting and Carrying: Maintenance support personnel may be required to lift and carry heavy objects, such as equipment parts, tools, or supplies. This can involve lifting weights ranging from a few pounds to potentially over 50 pounds.

· Standing and Walking: Maintenance support personnel often spend a significant amount of time on their feet, walking and moving around the facility or job site. This may involve navigating through different work areas, climbing stairs, or walking on uneven surfaces.

· Bending, Stooping, and Kneeling: Maintenance tasks often require bending, stooping, or kneeling to access equipment, perform repairs, or complete maintenance activities in confined spaces.

· Manual Dexterity: Maintenance support personnel should have good manual dexterity to handle various tools, equipment, and small parts. This includes tasks such as using hand tools, operating machinery controls, and manipulating small components.

· Physical Stamina: The role may involve physically demanding tasks, such as prolonged periods of exertion, working in different weather conditions, or performing repetitive motions.

· Safety Awareness: Maintenance support personnel need to maintain a keen awareness of safety protocols and practices to prevent injury to themselves and others. This includes following proper lifting techniques, using personal protective equipment (PPE), and adhering to safety guidelines.

Language Skills:

Employee must be able to read and interpret documents written in English. Employees must be able to have good communication with fellow employees, supervisors, and management.
