Construction Assistant Project Manager/ Superintendent

The Opportunity We have an opening for a collaborative, driven and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant Project Manager. When the APM provides accurate and detailed updates in a timely fashion, he/she provides the foundation for the multifamily projects.

The Assistant Project Manager/ Superintendent will direct and assist with management of assigned projects while following organizational policies, programs, budget, and schedules to accomplish goals and objectives. This position also directs assigned projects with adherence to planning, execution, monitoring, and closing within standard project management methodology.

You will take direction from the Senior Project Manager and/or Project Manager, who will oversee the project to which you are assigned. You will ensure no additional noncontract work is performed without a signed change order., and inspect the work on site to comply with drawings and specification. Perform quality control, looking for continuous improvement by working with subcontractors to schedule and oversee progress of work. You will encourage subcontractors to complete their work quickly and according to specifications and ensure that subcontractors comply with all OSHA and/or Cal OSHA and safety standards.

You will verify completed work by subcontractors. submitting invoices, then schedule and track completed work at assigned project with Microsoft Project, communicating with site management as to work progress and notices. Work with suppliers to order needed supplies using purchase order numbers and follow-up on materials ordered by PGCC or subcontractors.

Education:

• High school degree or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.

Experience and Skills:

• A minimum of three (3) years skills in related work, construction Industry

• Computer skills (Scheduling Programs, Microsoft)

• Demonstrated ability to solve problems

• Excellent organizational skills; detailed oriented

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

• Able to manage and coordinate multiple tasks and projects accurately.
