Founded in 1983, Precision Signs is a world-class, New York based, architectural signage provider. We excel in the design, programming, engineering, fabrication and installation of small to large scale architectural signage projects.
We have a position open for a full-time Sign Installation and Service Technician that has the ability to create great customer relationships and a high mechanical aptitude. This position is ideal for someone who has experience in construction or related industry that works with hand tools and can mount metal, plastic and other materials and can travel daily from our Amityville office to NYC and other local areas as needed.
The position requires having or being able to learn the following skills:
- Ability to apply vinyl/ digital prints, other environmental graphics to walls, glass, and surfaces at clients' sites.
- Able to accurately measure and mount hardware brackets of various types and install signage including pin-mounted formed letters, and logos.
- Capable of understanding and reading blueprints to determine locations, quantities, and products being installed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2 or more years in construction or related industry
- At least 2 years of sign installation experience a plus
- Must have a clean driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Completely comfortable regularly driving to NYC and occasional out-of-state travel.
- Ability to accurately use general carpentry tools such as tape measure, hand drill, level, and other hand tools.
- Ability to take photos of client sites, sign installations to communicate field conditions, and help management with estimation process
- Customer service focused
- Reliable and have a great work ethic
- Good communication skills
- Must be COVID-19 vaccinated
