SummaryOur client is is a leading application Engineering Consulting firm in the Washington, D.C. metro region specializing in Management Services, Technology Solutions and Facilities Services. They partner with and assist Federal, State and local government agencies; private sector Energy Services Companies (ESCOs); and Commercial entities in the design and implementation of their various Engineering and Technology related projects. Responsibilities

Our client is seeking a Data Architect to build and edit Data Factory pipelines, manage database needs, handle reporting, work with customers on file issues, and perform data research for the Virginia Permitting Transparency (VPT) project. This individual will work with the current application development team to provide enhancements and support on VITA's system.

• Build and edit Data Factory pipelines
• Manage database needs and reporting
• Work with customers on file issues and perform data research
• Collaborate with the current application development team to provide enhancements and support
• Architect and model mission-critical RDMS, BI, OLTP, OLAP, and solutions leveraging multiple DBMS technologies
• Conduct data analysis, data profiling, data flows, and data modeling
• Profile and load files from various data sources, including RDMBS, OLAP cubes, mainframe file systems, web services, APIs, XML, text files, and other documents
• Create and implement ETL processes
• Work with both business and technical users to define and gather reporting/analytics requirements
• Translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive data reporting strategies and analytic solutions
• Work in a fast-paced environment, delivering quality systems in short time frames
• Communicate effectively and work with both business and technical users across all levels of the organization
• Develop and maintain positive, productive working relationships with customers and co-workers
• Develop and present complex material effectively to a variety of audiences

Requirements

• 5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle 12c or greater
• 5 years of experience serving in a data architecture position
• 5 years of experience building data flows using ETL tools, including Azure Data Factory
• 5 years of experience architecting and modeling mission-critical RDMS, BI, OLTP, OLAP, and solutions leveraging multiple DBMS technologies
• 5 years of extensive experience with data analysis, data profiling, data flows, and data modeling
• 5 years of experience with Azure Power BI
• 5 years of demonstrated experience with profiling and loading files from various data sources, including RDMBS, OLAP cubes, mainframe file systems, web services, APIs, XML, text files, and other documents
• Extensive experience creating and implementing ETL processes
• 5 years of experience working with both business and technical users to define and gather reporting/analytics requirements and translating these requirements into comprehensive data reporting strategies and analytic solutions
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment, delivering quality systems in short time frames
• Excellent verbal and writing skills, along with the ability to develop and present complex material effectively to a variety of audiences
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with both business and technical users across all levels of the organization
• Pproven ability to work collaboratively on project teams and to work independently with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive, productive working relationships with customers and co-workers

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with Azure Power BI and Power Automate
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure Dataverse
