Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a Lead Data Pipeline Engineer to design and implement data pipelines for their data analytics platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building scalable and robust data pipelines, as well as experience leading a team of data engineers.
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable and robust data pipelines
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and requirements
- Work closely with other engineers to ensure data quality and consistency across the platform
- Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, providing technical guidance and support
- Develop and maintain documentation for data pipelines and processes
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in data pipeline engineering
- Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations
Requirements
- 7 years of experience in data pipeline engineering
- Strong knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Expertise in Python, Java, or Scala
- Experience leading a team of data engineers
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
