With 3x growth YOY and sales consistently exceeding expectations, we’re seeking our first Software Engineer In Test to join our team. Prelim has achieved remarkable success with our clients, and we need a dedicated professional to ensure our software's quality and reliability. Your role will be crucial in delivering high-quality products that meet our clients’ needs.
What you'll do
As the first Software Engineer In Test at Prelim, you will lead and manage the entire quality assurance lifecycle, from test planning to execution. You will develop detailed test plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, and communicate regularly with development teams to understand project requirements and provide updates on test status. Your responsibilities will include identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects, performing both manual and automated testing, and conducting regression testing to ensure new features do not negatively impact existing functionality. Additionally, you will continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and high-quality software delivery.

You’ll collaborate directly with our Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success teams, working alongside teammates who are passionate about customer satisfaction and innovation in banking. \n- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases.
- Identify, document, and track software defects.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Perform both manual and automated testing.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure new features do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback on testability.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Javascript, or similar.
