The Sr. Product Manager manages design, development and launch of new, and enhancement of existing products across all markets and segments as assigned. The incumbent manages associates, develops recommendations, provides expert consultation and performs assessments and analyses supporting corporate priorities, market strategies, product strategies and product launches. What you will do: Anticipate the impact of the changing healthcare and regulatory environment on existing market segments and products and propose strategies, tactics, and new or modified products accordingly. Lead cross functional teams in the research and analysis of new product concepts and product modification requests ultimately building a business case including product specifications. Responsible for monitoring product performance and position in designated markets and segments and for developing plans to improve upon those positions. Develop and manage work plans for the implementation and launch of new products and ultimately the transition of product ownership to operational owners. Facilitate internal communication and decision making for product-related issues. Provide product expertise on company initiatives and other projects/tasks. Completes other duties as assigned. As part of this role, you may be assigned internal controls derived from Premera’s internal controls framework. You will be accountable for understanding the controls assigned to you, their impacts on Premera, and to ensure that they are operating effectively. What you will bring: Bachelor’s degree or five years of product, consulting, planning, research and/or equivalent health industry work experience, professional designation or college degree (Required). Four (4) years of product development and product management experience in positions not necessarily in the health care/health insurance industry. Experience much include a minimum of two (2) years independently managing work and other staff to successfully complete work efforts and/or projects (Required). Four-year college or masters’ degree with coursework in healthcare administration or information systems. Six or more years of health care/health insurance product development and management experience. Professional designation.
