CNC Machine Operator Friday, Saturday, Sunday ONLY

Premier Aluminum is looking to add to our 1st Shift Weekend CNC Team! NOW starting with a Shift Premium of $3.00 in ADDITION to your hourly rate, for EVERY hour worked on Friday, Saturday and Sunday!! You only work Friday, Saturday and Sunday and qualify for 4 FREE hours each week to get a full 40 hours.

Looking for 1st Shift Weekend CNC Operators who are experienced or wiling to learn. Job description consists of the ability to produce machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, performing a standard series of progressive machining operations to close and exacting tolerances. Changes tools and assists with or performs standard set-ups is a plus.

Duties and Overall Responsibilities

· Following detailed instructions, operates CNC and other machines to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are proved and setups made and maintained by others

· Drilling, boring, milling, turning and balancing, as required

· Working from detailed process instructions

· Using precision measuring instruments or limit gauges to check machine positioning

· Inspecting your own work for quality

· Meeting rate for each part, while maintaining quality

· Maintaining a clean work environment

· Taking responsibility for equipment care and basic maintenance

· Assisting other operators as needed

· Recognizing own capabilities and taking initiative to continually improve

· Performing other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements for this position require continuous standing and intermittent walking, bending, sitting, pushing/pulling and lifting of parts that may at times be in excess of 50 pounds. The CNC Operator should have the physical and mental ability to perform the above necessary job functions while maintaining an exemplary safety record.

Skills and Experience

• 6 months of relevant CNC experience is a plus
• 6 months of manufacturing experinece required
• Machining fundamentals and basic operation skills is a plus
• Shop arithmetic is a plus
• Print reading and measuring procedures is a plus
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team is a must
• Enthusiastic, cooperative and positive behavior is a must

Educational Requirements

· Two years of shop-related high school or vocational education, supplemented with on-the-job training in applied machine shop is a plus
