Responsibilities: - Assist with the procurement process, including sourcing and selecting suppliers - Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services - Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels - Assist in negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production planning and inventory management - Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery - Assist in analyzing market trends and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities - Support the implementation and maintenance of purchasing systems (e.g., MRP, SAP) Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred - Proven experience as a Purchasing Assistant or in a similar role - Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management principles - Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and online purchasing systems - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - Excellent communication and negotiation skills - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills - Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Note: This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and requirements. The Purchasing Assistant may be required to perform additional tasks as needed to support the purchasing department.
