Salary: $150,000 - $201,000 (depending on experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Pharmacy Director to lead our pharmacy services in Lewiston, ID. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of the pharmacy department, ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services. This role requires a leader with extensive hospital pharmacy experience, strong management skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy department, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards of practice.
• Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures that align with hospital goals and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and manage a team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff, providing guidance, training, and professional development opportunities.
• Ensure the safe and accurate dispensing of medications, including the management of inventory, procurement, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
• Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to develop and maintain effective medication management processes, including formulary management and clinical protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of pharmacy services, implementing quality improvement initiatives as needed.
• Manage the departments budget, including cost control, revenue generation, and resource allocation.
• Participate in hospital committees and contribute to the overall strategic planning and decision-making process.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to pharmacy practice, including licensing, record-keeping, and reporting requirements.
  
  
  

Must-Haves:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Licensure: Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist in the State of Idaho.
• Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of hospital pharmacy experience, with at least three (3) years in a director-level or similar leadership role.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous quality improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced certifications in pharmacy practice or administration (e.g., Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy, Masters Degree in Pharmacy Administration).
• Experience with budget management and financial analysis in a healthcare setting.
