About the job

Our company is seeking an experienced accounting and finance professional to support the financial operations of the company and its partners. This position reports to the Controller and works closely with the VP of Finance to support a variety of financial reporting activities and projects and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and adept in handling a wide range of accounting, finance, and general business tasks. 


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare monthly journal entries and perform account reconciliations 
  • Prepare expense allocation schedules
  • Review general ledger entries for multiple entities
  • Assemble and review financial statements and supporting documentation
  • Prepare partner deliverables
  • Investigate and resolve reporting issues and discrepancies as needed
  • Collaborate with applicable parties to support and execute monthly/quarterly/annual financial close processes and look for opportunities to streamline procedures
  • Participate in special Projects and ad hoc request, as applicable

Requirements

Education and/or Experience: 


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • Minimum one to three years of experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications

Reasoning Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
