Cardiopulmonary Services
Full-Time / 72 Hrs Per Pay / Day Shift
Under supervision of the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services, a Registered Echocardiography Technologist performs echocardiography procedures on adults such as echocardiograms, 2D studies, stress echoes, contrast studies, flow studies, and TEEs. Helps oversee day-to-day operations of Echocardiography area. Ability to recognize anatomical structures that are visualized, and exercises professional demeanor and judgment in the performance of their duties. Prepares studies and uploads them to the PACS system for physicians to read.
Education: High School Graduate and be registered from the National Board of Cardiovascular Technology or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer.
- Must have Good interpersonal relations skills in order to deal with patients in motivating them, and in gaining their cooperation as many tests are performed in stressful conditions.
- Must have extensive knowledge of the various cardiodiagnostic procedures so he or she can thoroughly explain the test to the patient.
- Major emphasis is placed upon diagnostic quality of the ECHO
- Ability to interact with physicians and develop trust and credibility with physician customers while creating a system of responsiveness to customer needs.
- High level of personal ownership in future success of the organization.
