On Call / (per Diem) / PRN / SUPPORT
Under the general supervision of the Department Supervisor in Rehabilitation Services and according to established policies and procedures, the Office Coordinator will: complete registration process; schedule clients/patients; perform receptionist duties; enter/monitor patient/client charges; perform clerical duties of computer use, photocopying, typing, distributing mail, filing, monitoring/ordering of office supplies; draft/edit business communication; assist with case management; participate in organization and completion of departmental projects/programs; participate in Performance Improvement; support Rehab Services’ office operation needs as appropriate by covering at another site, orienting/mentoring replacement, and timely and effectively communicating assistance/coverage needs.
- Basic math and language skills as acquired through high school graduation.
- Secretarial/office management education or equivalent work experience of four years, preferably in a medical setting.
- Medical terminology usage.
- Accurate typing proficiency at a minimum of 50-60 words per minute.
- Efficient use of computer and software (Lotus Notes, Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, EPIC).
- Excellent interpersonal skills in order to interact with patient, families, physicians, and staff.
- Organizational skills, prioritization skills, flexibility and tact to handle varied and numerous job demands, such as therapist/client interruptions, phone, and computer work.
- Analytical/problem solving skills in order to independently resolve daily issues.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail and meet deadlines.
