Director of Marketing - Job Description

Prior experience working in Continuing Care Retirement Community preferred.

Plans, organizes and directs all aspects of the marketing networking and sales processes for Cadbury Independent Living and Assisted Living.  Designs, develops recommends and initiates strategies, policies, procedures, and marketing plans to achieve budgeted occupancy and Cadbury strategic goals and objections.

Essential Functions

Develops annual marketing plan in collaboration with department staff and supervisor.  Seeks to meet current and strategic goals and objectives.  Shares plan with members of Senior Management seeking buy-in and support.

Selects, trains orients and assigns department staff.  Develops individual and team goals for performance and evaluates in accordance with goal achievement.

Provides leadership and supervision as well as accountability to insure department meets goals.

Coordinates networking and public relations activities for Cadbury.  Maintains strong community presence through membership in local community based organizations and professional contacts

Takes leadership in role in the marketing efforts for Cadbury and is accountable for occupancy goals.

Annually reviews CCRC agreements and contracts, and recommends any changes.  Also reviews, relates and cost structure to insure we stay completive. 

Maintains statistics of area competition and stays abreast of any significant changes in the surrounding senior marketplace.  Analyzes trends and changes in the industry and takes recommendations for any changes for Cadbury.

Annually reviews CCRC agreements and contracts, and recommends any changes. Also reviews rates and cost structure to insure we stay competitive.

As part of the marketing plan, creates special event (internal and external) to draw prospective residents into Cadbury as well as creating other marketing initiatives and incentives.

Attends meetings as requested. 

Maintains professional growth and development through attendance at seminars, workshops and professional affiliations.

Prepares reports as requested.

Insures that all tracking data is entered into the REPS system and is monitored for achieving targets.

Performs other related duties as required.
