Nature of Work

The Driver position includes a variety of work in the delivery of HVAC packages. The Driver position is responsible for showing up every day at the Shop – on time – 6:15 am.

Under the direction and supervision of the Shop Supervisor, the Driver is responsible for driving HVAC Materials to job sites and unloading materials for production and custom homes. Working as a Driver is high paced and requires vigorous physical activity. While performing the duties of this Job, the Driver is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in a warehouse and construction environment and must be mindful of their surroundings. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

The Driver performs the following tasks:

Appears on time (6:15 am) everyday.

Measuring distances with a tape measure.

Prepares and completes orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).

Receives and processes warehouse products (pick, unload, label, store).

Keeps a clean and safe working environment and optimizes space utilization.

Analyzes and resolves work problems.

Maintains company tools, equipment, and vehicles.

Performs other related tasks as required.

Responsibility and Authority

The position of the Driver carries no supervisory authority. The Driver reports to the Shop Supervisor. The Driver s responsibilities include the loading and unloading of materials.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The position of the Driver requires the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

Ability to perform physical indoor/outdoor activities usually inside of a warehouse or at a construction site.

Physical stamina and strength to perform required tasks. Ability to lift and carry material around the warehouse and job site.

Ability to lift and haul 30-to-50-pound materials.

Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions as well as packaging lists.

The ability to complete work on your feet for extended periods of time.

Ability to operate a Box Truck or Van.

Do paper work associated with the job and time sheet.

Knowledge of and ability to apply safety precautions and utilize the provided safety equipment while performing assigned work.

Ability to work cooperatively with other employees/take directions and communicate effectively.

Minimum Experience and Training

The Driver position requires experience in related work and the demonstrated ability to operate a Box Truck/Van and perform work as assigned by Premier Heating and Cooling, LLC. The Driver must possess and maintain a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver s License. The ability of getting to the Shop, everyday is required.
