Job Description
Premier Pediatrics is seeking an experienced medical assistant for an office based private practice located in Rockaway. Full time position 36 hours per week with a 4 day work week and weekends off.
Responsibilities
- Performing patient assessments.
- Performing and documenting patient intake (height, weight, head circumference, blood pressure, vision and hearing screening, reason for visit, and chief complaint)
- Filling out medical forms including but not limited to school and day care forms.
- Monitoring and insuring good patient flow.
- Performing strep and flu tests, urinalysis, giving nebulizer treatments, finger stick blood draw, stool occult blood testing.
- Ensuring exam rooms and treatment areas are cleaned after each patient leaves and prepared for the next patients.
- Assisting with light housekeeping duties which include spills.
- Stocking exam rooms/treatment rooms with medical supplies, linen and designated chart forms.
- Occasional receptionist duties as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Functions as a respectful member of the health care team.
- Has pediatric experience
- Is a good multi-tasker
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AND BE A CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT.
