Purchasing Assistant functions including prepare purchase orders, change orders, identify and resolve purchasing problems or concerns. Assisting Purchasing department with sourcing materials, supplies and services. Assist accounting department with AP functions. This position will also be responsible for successfully working with vendors, customers, and internal departments.
Requirements
Essential Duties for Purchasing Assistant:
· Purchasing Assistant act as the liaison between Sales, Estimators, Planners and Vendors to meet sourcing projects
· Work closely with the Purchasing Manager & Purchasing Team.
· Research and communicate with vendors on competitive pricing and quality for products/services.
· Generate Purchase Order
· Familiar with internet purchasing.
· Help define procedures for outside vendors including pricing expectations and discrepancies at receipt of job.
· Process vendor invoices including auditing pricing and product receipt.
· React promptly to PO requests
· Match POs to incoming invoices within SAP Concur software to ensure accuracy
· Build & Maintain Supplier Relationships.
· Experience Microsoft Office Suite .
· All other duties as assigned

Minimum Education Required:
High School Diploma
Minimum Experience Required:
1 year experience in accounts payable and/or purchasing
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
