Full Job Description:

Premier Safety Resources is currently seeking qualified candidates for an Operator Qualification (OQ) Evaluator position. The primary focus of this position is to interact with operators and contractors to provide unsurpassed training and qualification services. This is done through computer-based testing and hands-on skills evaluations for individuals working on natural gas and liquid pipeline facilities.

This position is part-time on an as-needed basis. The position primarily reports to the Operator’s training facility in Cushing, Oklahoma. Periodic day travel and occasional overnights could be required as part of this position, typically where jobs may be located.

OQ Evaluator Responsibilities:

• Provide comfortable and judgement-free testing environment
• Comfortable using computers for testing and computer for skill submittals
• Understand state and federal regulations that apply to Operator Qualification
• Understand and implement operator’s policies and procedures
• Ability to be qualified by ITS, EWN, Veriforce, MEA and NCCER to perform evaluations
• Follow all safety procedures related to the tasks
• Prepare for classes prior to teaching or evaluating

OQ Evaluator Requirements:

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Microsoft Applications (Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent people management skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Troubleshooting skills
• Analyze situations, make decisions, take action, and inform supervisors of exceptions to the standard processes
• Provide personal vehicle (company mileage reimbursable)
• Discretion when dealing with confidential information
• Good record of safe work practices
• Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol screening
• Ability to pass random Drug and Alcohol screenings
• Ability to stand for several hours at a time

Preferred Skills:

• 5 years experience working on or around natural gas and liquid pipeline and storage facilities
• Broad skill set covering all tasks performed on a pipeline
• Working knowledge and experience with 49 CFR Part 192 and 195
• Knowledge on API standards and ASME standards
• OSHA 10 and/or other industry safety training/qualifications

Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
