Industrial Engineer
We are currently seeking an Industrial Engineer for our manufacturing plant located in Marion, Arkansas reporting directly to the Sr. Project Engineer. The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for driving continuous improvement activities, design work operations, logistic metrics, and internal analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implements workstation designs that meet safety and ergonomic requirements
- Drives continuous improvement activities for assigned area
- Implement lean manufacturing concepts
- Supports development of assembly process for future programs
- Provides technical support and assistance to manufacturing and maintenance team members, production supervisors and production team members
- Ability to design work operations that meets safety, quality, and efficiency requirements with high integrity
- Maintains accurate time studies through motion analysis and application of standard time data charts
- Maintain accurate ergonomic studies to eliminate operator injuries caused by repetitive assembly motions
- Provides accurate routings of parts to their assembly location
- Maintains accurate workstation layouts using AutoCAD
- Evaluates bottleneck areas and supports throughput and productivity improvements in assigned area
- Supports change management projects by developing line balance plans and participating in production trials
- Reduce total cost by improving productivity metrics related to operator work loading and value-added percent
- Become a coach and teacher of lean manufacturing principles to the production floor
- Determines logistic support requirements such as facility details, staffing needs, safety/maintenance plans.
- Develop and implement logistic metrics, internal analysis tools and KPIs.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Industrial Engineering preferred
- Minimum 3 years' experience. Automotive experience highly desirable.
Skills Required:
- Proficient use of AutoCAD
- Knowledge of time study and motion analysis
- Knowledge of human factors engineering / ergonomic analysis
- Experience in documentation of standardized work procedures
- Experience in implementation of lean manufacturing concepts, such as Six Sigma
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (heavily focused on Excel and PowerPoint)
- 5S/TPS Principals
- Warehouse and Yard Management Systems
- Industrial Vehicle Automation
