Job Description: Premier Staffing Source, Inc. is currently seeking applications for Customer Service Representatives to join our client's team in Lower Manhattan. As a Customer Service Representative, your primary responsibility will be to assist in processing, investigating, and resolving utility consumer complaints. This role involves two distinct sets of tasks: Intake and Analysis.
General Duties:
Conduct in-person and telephone interviews and review written submissions from utility customers to initiate complaint investigations.
Gather and record information using a customer relationship management system.
Advocate for customers needing assistance with bill payments and negotiate deferred payment arrangements.
Mediate the resolution of disputes between utility providers and customers.
Correspond with customers via mail, email, and phone regarding their complaints.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
Administrative experience with ability to understand and interpret New York State statutes and regulations.
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills including data entry and Microsoft Office suite proficiency.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Experience as a customer service representative or in a call center environment.
Experience investigating inquiries or complaints involving energy, telecommunications, or water service.
Familiarity with customer relationship management systems.
