Customer Service Representatives

Job Description: Premier Staffing Source, Inc. is currently seeking applications for Customer Service Representatives to join our client's team in Lower Manhattan. As a Customer Service Representative, your primary responsibility will be to assist in processing, investigating, and resolving utility consumer complaints. This role involves two distinct sets of tasks: Intake and Analysis.

General Duties:

• Conduct in-person and telephone interviews and review written submissions from utility customers to initiate complaint investigations.
• Gather and record information using a customer relationship management system.
• Advocate for customers needing assistance with bill payments and negotiate deferred payment arrangements.
• Mediate the resolution of disputes between utility providers and customers.
• Correspond with customers via mail, email, and phone regarding their complaints.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

• Administrative experience with ability to understand and interpret New York State statutes and regulations.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills including data entry and Microsoft Office suite proficiency.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience as a customer service representative or in a call center environment.
• Experience investigating inquiries or complaints involving energy, telecommunications, or water service.
• Familiarity with customer relationship management systems.
• College degree (Associate or Bachelor).

Schedule:

• Hours: 7.5 hours/day; 37.5 hours/week
• Days: Monday – Friday
• Shift: 8:00am – 4:00pm (30-minute lunch) (some flexibility)
• Estimated Start Date: ASAP

Compensation and Benefits:

• Compensation: $21.25 - $24.50/hour
• Benefits: Health, Dental, and Vision eligibility after 60 days
• Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays
