The IT Quality Analyst will focus on elevating user experience (UX) within an Agile/Scrum framework, ensuring that software products meet specified quality standards before they are released to customers. You will be responsible for creating and executing test plans, identifying bugs or issues in software, collaborating with developers to resolve issues, and ensuring that software meets user requirements and functions correctly. This pivotal role requires familiarity with ensuring the utmost quality of software products through meticulous testing methodologies, both automated and manual while prioritizing user satisfaction.
Areas of Expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in quality analysis within an Agile/Scrum development environment, strongly emphasizing enhancing user experience.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems, preferably BrightSpace, and a passion for leveraging technology to improve educational outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and user feedback to drive product enhancements.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Certification in AWS or Azure is considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute sophisticated testing plans to evaluate software product usability, functionality, and reliability.
- Champion Agile/Scrum methodologies to foster a collaborative and iterative development environment.
- Utilize Jira to manage test cases, report issues, and track their resolution progress within agile sprints.
- Develop and implement automated testing frameworks using Python, enhancing test efficiency and coverage.
- Conduct detailed UX evaluations to ensure that product interfaces meet user expectations for simplicity and functionality.
- Navigate Learning Management Systems, particularly BrightSpace, to guide user-centric product development and testing.
- Analyze test data and user feedback to drive continuous product improvement and optimize user experience.
