HEALTH INFORMATION SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

This position actively participates in the daily support of Health Information applications. In coordination with management, provides technical support and helpdesk functions to ensure efficient ongoing operation and use of the Health Information Applications. This position processes all external records requests for HEDIS and risk adjustment. In addition, manages the entire external auditor process including scheduling, supporting, and maintaining records.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Analysis, Information Management, Computer Programming, Systems Analysis, Business Administration (with emphasis on Information Systems), or related field; OR high school diploma / equivalent and two years related experience and/or training in database management, help desk assistance, or a computer support role.
- Experience supporting Patient Care Applications using Help Desk tools.
- Proficiency using computers and desktop software systems.
- Knowledge of or experience with medical records, financial management, accounting principles, medical reimbursement, database, and query tools (SQL) preferred.
