Single Copy Coordinator

Description

Position Summary: 

Coordinates the growth of single copy and special section locations in the local business community.  Visit local businesses and secure opportunities to place our specialty products in racks.   Restocking, emptying, and maintaining our racks single copy racks. Assists in the circulation department with daily activities.

Responsibilities:

1. Upkeep local business offices with our current special section publications. 

2. Grow our list of approved businesses office list for special sections.  This includes in person visits to local business . 

3.  Restock special section racks on a regular basis.  

4. Deliver weekly TMC publications to all area wide rack locations. 

5. Upkeep all racks, this includes TMC, single copy and special section racks.

6. Empty the money out of racks monthly and give to accounting. 

7. Process USPS audit and deliver to post office.

8. Assist with daily kick deliveries. 

9. Assist night shift circulation department with the delivery of our weekly TMC home delivery publications. Deliveries will be made during normal shift hours.

10. Assist the Circulation Manager with reports, communications and necessary daily workflow when needed. 

11. Performs TMC processing in system and completes zone sheet and bundle tops. Supplies requested “area of primary responsibility” information from circulation operating system(s).

12. Performs special projects for circulation department to increase and maintain subscriptions. 

13. Verifies rack cards according to promotion schedule. Performs recovery of newspaper racks and dealer copies.

14. Exceeds customer’s expectations in a courteous and professional manner. A customer is anyone who contributes directly or indirectly to the revenues of the organization.

15. Basic knowledge of office equipment including computers, email, fax machines, scanners and copiers. 

16. Report any maintenance issues or damage of company vehicles and complete and sign vehicle log book when using.

1. Participates in company safety policies and procedures. 

1. Contributes      to team effort by accomplishing any customer service-related duties to the      desired results as needed.
2. Cross      trains in other jobs for back-up purposes and related duties as assigned      by management. 
3. If the      essential functions of the position require the employee to drive, they      must provide and drive vehicle, possess a valid driver’s license and      necessary amount of auto insurance.

Language Skills: Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend basic instructions verbally and in writing.

Requirements

 Education, Experience and Skills Required:1. High school diploma or equivalent.

1. Previous experience in circulation department      desirable.
2. Good driving record.
3. Ability to deal with pressure of delivery deadlines.
4. Strong verbal communication, interpersonal and customer      service skills. 
5. Flexibility and ability to work independently. 

Physical Demands: The physical demands of the job may include bending, sitting, standing, lifting, climbing and driving. (Fill in if there are other demands):1. Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly.2. Able to withstand prevalent weather conditions.3. Must be able to sit in vehicles for long durations.
