What you will be doing:
As our Assistant Controller, you'll play a crucial role in various accounting functions, from cash management to payroll processing. Reporting directly to the Controller, you'll apply your expertise in accounting principles to analyze financial data and prepare insightful reports.
You will be responsible for:
- Financial Oversight: Keep a watchful eye on financial transactions and activities across assigned accounts.
- Reconciliation Expertise: Prepare monthly and annual reconciliations to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of cash flow, inventory, and fixed assets, ensuring data integrity.
- Audit Support: Assist with external audit requests, providing necessary information promptly and accurately.
- Special Projects: Dive into special projects, team training, and development initiatives with enthusiasm and dedication.
- Payroll Processing: Contribute to payroll processing, particularly sales commission calculations, with precision and timeliness.
- Accounting Policy Development: Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 8 - 10 years of Accounting/Finance experience, including knowledge of full cycle accounting. Solid understanding of US GAAP.
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook, PowerPoint; experience with Netsuite or other similar accounting software.
- Strong analytical skills. Well organized, proactive, must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment.
- Ability to adhere to highest standards of confidentiality and discretion in all proprietary business, financial, and employee matters.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal required; ability to communicate in a professional, knowledgeable, and courteous manner with employees, clients, vendors, business contacts.
- Ability to adhere to a high level of attention to detail.
