SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Staff Management
Direct the Urban Landcare crew in maintenance of gardens, vertical gardens, and landscapes tasks are completed within estimated timelines.
Good working knowledge of plant culture and demonstrated willingness to teach others.
Contribute to a harmonious work environment.
Production Management
Coordinate activities, learning opportunities and develop urban scape environment that attracts and engages people.
Assist the production manager with ongoing crew training including but not limited to installation, pruning, maintaining garden beds and customer site specific expectations.
Identify any requirement or supply needs for the project at customer site.
Quality
Maintain professionalism with clients and their site, providing attention to detail, sensitivity to personal environment and following up on issues.
Demonstrate a strong work ethic, adaptive problem-solving skills, and a high attention to detail; ensuring quality standards are met.
Must be well organized and have a strong sense of customer service; assuring the appearance of a client’s property meets or exceeds expectations.
Assist with the organization, cleaning, and basic upkeep at all facilities as well as assigned crew equipment and trucks.
Safety
Demonstrate safe operation, care, and handling of all service line tools and equipment.
Crews working on rooftop gardens must additionally be expert in site specific safety requirements and training.
Operational Policies and Procedures
Adhere to all employment-related issues as described by Prescription Landscape policies, Federal, State, and local ordinances, OSHA, Americans with Disability Act, Clean Indoor Act, and other as required by Prescription Landscape policies and procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Current driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record with DOT Certification.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships.
Demonstrates strong leadership abilities and effective communication skills.
Must be a self-starter, performing duties in an acceptable manner with minimal supervision.
Currently has, or is willing to obtain, a Minnesota Category A & E Pesticide Applicator License.
Possesses a basic horticultural knowledge and familiarity with perennials, annuals, woody plants in terms of their identification, cultural conditions, growing/flowering season, etc.
Horticulture degree or certificate is preferred.
Good working knowledge of plant identification, health, and habit.
Base knowledge of pruning technique; planting; knowledge and familiarity with basic gardening tools.
Ensure that high quality standards are being met within estimated timelines.
Ability to perform manual labor, including repeated physical bending, kneeling, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lbs. independently and 80 lbs. with assistance.
