What are the responsibilities and job description for the Upgrade/Renovation Technician position at Preserve Apartments?
We are looking for an Upgrade/Renovation Technician for our beautiful apartment community! The Upgrade/Renovation Technician will be responsible for all upgrades on the property.
Duties include:
- Upgrading/Renovation of apartments.
- Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair involving the following, but not limited to, on a daily basis:
- Demo and Rehabs
- Electrical and plumbing (including water lines)
- Appliances
- Stairs, gates, fences, patios, and railings
- Tile, carpet, and flooring
- Roofing, gutters, fasteners
- Interior/exterior lights
- Fireplaces, ceiling fans
- Shutters, doors, cabinets, windows, sliding glass doors Boiler, gas and electric
- Door locks, P.O. boxes and locks
- Ceiling leaks
- Walls
- Identify all utility meter cut-offs, apartment and fixture cut-offs, sewer clean-outs and prepare maps indicating the same.
- Maintain adequate inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials to handle most common repairs and situations.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by Property Manager or Regional Manager.
Learn and comply with all company safety rules. Use appropriate safety equipment at all times. Be familiar with all safety features on equipment, machinery, or materials encompassed by job duties. Immediately report any unsafe conditions to the property
Knowledge/Experience Required of the Position
Ability to execute in a multitask environment
Ability to work with third party contractor relationships when on-site
Education and Experience Required
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in property management
High School Diploma
Ability to earn future designations as required by Industry standards, EPA regulations, OSHA requirements, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
