Role: 

As a Product Specialist - US Government Applications, you will spearhead the establishment of a line of business for US Government Applications within Preservica. Leveraging your deep sector knowledge, you will identify critical use cases in digital records processing, management, and access that are currently underserved.

Your mission will be to configure and position our product to address these challenges effectively.  This will include active participation in focus groups; webinars and presentations. Collaborating closely with customers, prospects, and internal teams, you will translate insights into standardized templates and product configurations tailored to meet the diverse needs of US Government sectors.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain a detailed understanding of customer tasks and workflows, translating insights into standardized product configurations.
  • Curate and lead webinar; focus group and presentation content
  • Develop optimized configurations, including industry-specific onboarding sequences, workflows, metadata structures, and retention policies.
  • Serve as the "voice of the customer," providing critical insights to influence product roadmap prioritization.
  • Document and build business cases for specific requirements to enhance user experience and drive adoption.
  • Monitor workstream progress and actively engage with product managers and user experience designers.
  • Collaborate with users to acquire real-world digital assets, streamline workflows, and support go-to-market efforts.

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 2 or more years of hands-on experience in technical archiving, software, and customer-facing roles, ideally within a US Government agency or similar.
  • Proven ability to work at an administrator level with application software and create custom configurations.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash, and familiarity with REST, APIs, and SDKs.
  • Experience with metadata standards (e.g., Dublin Core, MODS, METS, PREMIS) and XML.
  • Previous experience with digital archiving or preservation solutions is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 retention and compliance is advantageous.
  • Experience working with US Government users is highly advantageous.
