Location: Ridgeway, VA

Schedule: Night or day shifts, Monday to Friday (occasionally on Saturday depends on the workload)
Production Manager
Production Manager at PRESS GLASSS oversees the production areas for all shifts to achieve safety, quality, and production goals. This individual is responsible for creating and maintaining the same standards across all shifts, fulfilling production schedules, upholding policies, and procedures, ensuring quality, and other developmental activities for the technical aspects of the glass fabrication.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Establishing goals for production teams and coordinating a plan to meet those goals.
- Motivating, supporting, and providing guidance to production team.
- Ensuring that the workplace is kept neat and tidy and OHSE and fire safety regulations are observed.
- Ensuring production stays on schedule and products meet quality standards.
- Cooperating with other departments (Scheduling, Quality, Supply Chain, Project Management, HR, IT) to formulate objectives and expectations for each manufacturing team.
- Analyzing production data, watching for hiccups in the process, and looking for opportunities to improve operations.
- Ensuring that manufacturing equipment and machines are operated by trained and qualified employees according to relevant instructions.
- Ongoing review of working time records in accordance with the applicable schedule and approval of the monthly job sheet issued by the foreman, considering applicable work regulations.
- Monitoring departmental KPI’s and holds meetings with employees.
- Providing leadership to make sure proper customer service, safety, 5S, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are in place and are promptly accomplished.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATIONAL SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:
- Outstanding leadership skills and at least 5 years managerial experience in the glass fabrication or similar industry.
- Experience working with automated machines is a plus.
- Good analytical and problem‐solving skills.
- Strong decision-making skills and results-driven approach.
- Good computer and technical skills to understand products, track schedule and prepare analysis for upper management.
- Associate Degree in manufacturing, engineering, or business field is preferred.
