What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Coordinator position at Pressley Ridge?
Consultation and Support
- Provide consultation and act as a resource to supervisors and T/C’s to enhance clinical competence
- Assist leadership in teaching Re-ED practice and assuring clinical indicators, as identified by the service lines, are implemented
- Provide regularly scheduled training activities for staff to assure competency and understanding
- interviewing applicants and sharing interview data;
- maintaining comprehensive records of staff performance;
- conduct formal verbal and written evaluations of each staff member at 6 months of service, 12 months, and annually thereafter (written evaluation reports will be reviewed and signed by the director);
- make recommendations to the Director in regards to the merit increase to be awarded the employee at 6 months of service, 12 months, and then annually thereafter;
- participate in the development and implementation of the professional development plan.
- participates in program development of a culturally sensitive model of delivery of services to students and families;
- assures the use of available technology by herself/himself and each staff
- through the use of the internet, electronic documentation and electronic communication.
Quality Improvement
- Provide consultation and supervision around implementation of initiatives relating to clinical services of the program
- Review and utilize data as gathered from the various Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives
- Assure the implementation of best practice standards as developed by the service lines
Documentation and Record Keeping
- complete all required paperwork
- complete written work that is legible, accurate and uses professional language
- meet timelines for submitting paperwork established by the program and organization
- use written documentation to communicate effectively with peers, subordinates and supervisors
- Assist in administrative decision-making regarding the development of new and revision of old program policies and procedures
- Assure that all staff complete, in a timely fashion, all program accountability and documentation procedures
- is responsible to monitor and document youth in self-administering medication and ensure dosage timelines are met.
Supervision
- Assure clinical competency of teacher/counselor staff and supervisors by providing clinical supervision regularly
- Complete record reviews of youth served on a regular basis to assure treatment needs of children are addressed
- Organize and implement clinical supervision schedule
- Identify clinical training needs
- Review clinical documentation for purpose of providing clinical supervision to staff
- Monitor behavioral health services to students and assure that all behavioral support components are coordinated and implemented according to program expectations
- At the request of staff, or when deemed necessary, directly intervenes in crisis situations involving students and/or staff
To assure the continued professional growth of the staff and his/her own, he/she will:
- assure that each staff member and herself/himself completes professional growth activities in compliance with the Board approved Professional Education Plan.
- as requested by Program/Education Director, periodically chair program committees.
- with the approval the Program/Education Director, periodically attend local, state, or national conferences and workshops.
To promote the professional image of Pressley Ridge School in local, state, and National committees, the Clinical Coordinator:
- with the approval of the Program/Education Director, provide inservice/training programs internally to as well as to other programs
- with the approval of the Program/Education Director, give formal presentations on program-relevant issues at local state, or national workshops or conventions.
