Position Summary
The Lunch Aide assists the School Staff with all lunch preparation, clean-up, stocking supplies, and any other related tasks/projects as assigned by the Program Director.
Essential Responsibilities
- To assist the Day School staff with the serving of daily lunches, the Aide will
- Set drinks (i.e. milk) out for students’ lunch daily.
- Set out all necessary condiments for daily lunch.
- After all lunches are finished each day, clean all tables, chairs, utensils, kitchen counters and microwave.
- Restock all required supplies and inform Office Manager when supplies need to be ordered.
- Maintain visual and auditory contact with the student at lunch times during the school day unless otherwise arranged with staff.
- To ensure appropriate documentation of lunch activities, the Aide will:
- Maintain written records as requested.
- Follow program policy regarding the documentation of critical incidents (such as physical injury or illness, property damage, runaway, physical interventions, etc.
Qualifications
- Clearances. State Police; FBI clearance; child abuse clearance; CPSL Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training; any additional background checks/clearances required by state governing bodies.
- Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
Working Conditions
- Physical Demands. This position requires a moderate to high level of physical activity employee must meet minimum requirements for Hearing, Speech and Vision. Hearing is not applicable for the School for the Deaf.
- Environmental. School, Home and community.
- Working Hours. As assigned.
