Summary:
- Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Clinical Director, the mental health professional will serve as the Clinical Manager of an Assertive Community Treatment team.
- The Clinical Manager’s responsibilities will include managing the clinical operations, providing clinical consultation and guidance to the team, managing the intake and admission of program participants, and maintaining the program’s census and participant discharges.
- He/she will also ensure the completion of all clinical documentation, and work cooperatively with other team members to ameliorate the symptoms of those assigned to his or her caseload.
- Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload.

- Audits client’s records to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifically monitors treatment plans, progress notes, medication, education and management, discharge summaries, and plans.

- Behavioral Health and Medicaid Program and other applicable laws and regulations and professional standards.
- Trains staff, manages, coordinates, evaluates, and supervises all operations within assigned clinical staff and treatment services.
- Provides personnel management functions for all assigned staff including supervision, annual evaluations, involvement in hiring, disciplinary actions, etc., and in consultation with Human Resources.
- Provides individual and group supervision to improve the skills and productivity of staff.
- Maintains client records and completes all documentation on a “real-time” basis.
- Assists in innovation, development, implementation, and evaluation of services.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will supervise Community Support Workers (CSWs), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers (LICSWs), and Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs).

- The position does involve local travel on a consistent basis.
Required Education and Experience:
- Must have at least 1 - 3 years of work experience in servicing persons with mental illnesses, social services, supported housing, and adolescent counseling, including crisis management, intensive case management, individual and/or family therapy, skill training, and other rehabilitation supports preferred for at-risk youth and adults.
- Master’s Degree required.
- Licensed in the District of Columbia.
- Two years in a supervisory role, four years preferred.
