Prestige Stamping LLC is a high volume manufacturer of tight-tolerance washers and small metal stampings. We provide stampings to the automotive, construction, agriculture and heavy truck industries. We have been in business since 1967 and we are looking to add to our team.
Prestige Stamping LLC is currently seeking dynamic candidates for the position of:
COST ESTIMATOR
The Cost Estimator is responsible for development of all costs to provide job quotations to the customer. This role will interact with the sales team, existing and potential new customers to understand customer specifications and gather requirements to qualify feasibility for quotations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review incoming RFQ specifications, blueprints and related documents to prepare pricing and timing estimates.
- Configure stamping process and related costs.
- Work with internal team (scheduling, QC, tool room and production) as required to determine feasibility and cost.
- Work with outside vendors through internal purchasing department to gather costs for raw material and processes not performed in-house.
- Analyze labor, material and time requirements for a job.
- Communicate exclusions and/or deviations from customer request clearly.
- Process purchase orders and/or contracts.
- Set up new customers and new parts.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of experience with estimating metallic products.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, GD&T, metal stamping and automotive fasteners preferred.
- Metal washer stamping background and the APQP process are a plus
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with DELMIAWorks (IQMS) ERP and quoting modules a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Flexibility and ability to adjust accordingly to changing priorities
