Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Service Writer. As a Service Writer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our automotive service department. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service and accurately document vehicle service needs.

Duties:
- Greet customers and assist them with their service needs
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
- Generate repair orders and communicate service recommendations to customers
- Provide estimates for repairs and obtain customer approval
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Update customers on the status of their vehicles throughout the repair process
- Collect payment from customers and handle cash transactions
- Maintain accurate records of all service transactions

Experience:
- Previous experience in automotive repair or service writing is preferred
- Knowledge of oil changes, shocks/struts, alignments, and other common automotive services is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical individuals
- Familiarity with auto service management software is beneficial
- Cash handling experience is preferred
