Preston Taylor Community Health Centers Inc , is composed of a team of dedicated health care professionals that have at heart the mission of the organization of providing comprehensive primary health care services to the residents of the four-county service area of West Virginia in Preston, Taylor, Tucker, and Grant Counties regardless of their ability to pay. This is accomplished through the provision of primary care services that are culturally sensitive and relevant to the needs of the community.
In supporting the delivery of activities deriving from 6 Community Health Care Medical Centers, 2 Pharmacies, 2 Dental Centers and one optometry office, we are seeking a Patient Service Representative to join the organization. The location for this position will be at the Medical Center of Taylor County.
Primary Responsibilities:
· The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure efficient and effective processing of sliding fee applications by coordinating the sliding fee application process between the delivery site Sliding fee applications, proof of income and patient eligibility status must be maintained in the “master file” in the Practice management software (Intergy).
· Obtaining all pertinent patient information for the processing of sliding fee applications.
· Assist with sliding fee application process of patients of PTCHC.
· Accurately process patient sliding fee applications as they relate to the Federal Poverty Guidelines and PTCHC SF policy.
· Communicates terms of the SF Policy to patients for full comprehension of payment expectations.
· Process sliding fee applications for patients while acquiring all required documentation.
· Conduct outreach strategies with patients to promote the availability of health coverage and assist with enrollment, if eligible to the PTCHC sliding fee discount program.
· Collaborate with all front desk staff to identify and assess all patients for eligibility to the sliding fee program.
Qualifications
· BS degree in Business Administration or years of experience working in healthcare.
· Good interpersonal skills and communication
· Computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office are essential
· Accurate and precise attention to detail
· Compassionate and caring of patients
· Excellent written, verbal communication skills, and organizational abilities
· Compliance with all HIPAA, OSHA, office, local, state, and PTCHC policy and procedures
