What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Technician position at Pretium?
Summary:
Load, unload and move materials to facilitate the receipt of supplies and shipment of product. An incumbent may or may not perform all of the duties listed below, dependent on the specific plant for which support is provided.
Responsibilities:
- Preforms assigned duties and acts in a manner that adheres to company safety policies and practices.
- Load and unload trailers; move and dock trailers for loading.
- Set up trailers for customer delivery.
- Communicate with trucking company to ensure availability of appropriate trailers for shipments.
- Runs and creates bills of lading and packing; ensure timely shipment of product.
- Audit areas of warehouse to insure proper placement of materials.
- Check and track inventories to be sure materials are on hand.
- Order supplies.
- Participate in physical count for monthly and yearly inventory.
- Keep warehouse clean and free of debris.
- Inspect trailers (leaks, dirt, etc.).
- Handle UPS and FedEx shipments
- Monitor finished goods and raw materials for damage; report and repair as needed.
- Matches receivables to purchase orders including all UPS.
- Enters all transfers and warehouse movements in Oracle.
- Enters work orders for production.
- Preforms other related duties and special projects.
