Help shape the next generation of Navy Expeditionary Warfighters as an Expeditionary Combat Skills Instructor!
Prevailance is seeking Medical Support Instructors to fulfill instructor positions for the Expeditionary Combat Skills course in support of CENSECFOR detachment Gulfport, MS. The Expeditionary Combat Skills (ECS) course is designed to provide eligible personnel with basic expeditionary combat skills training necessary to professionally and safely perform high risk security operations when assigned to Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) or Naval Special Warfare (NSW) organizations. This course will provide NECC and NSW personnel with the necessary individual knowledge, skills and abilities to perform Basic Tactical Communications, Convoy Operations – Basic, Small Arms, Tactical Shooting, Counter Improvised Explosive Devices (C-IED), Mission Planning, Basic Tactical Movement, Basic Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) Procedures, and Judgement-based Engagement Training (JET) / Tactical Decision Making (Shoot/Don’t Shoot). The ECS course will allow personnel to demonstrate, qualify and become comfortable with both primary and secondary weapons. Instructors will teach students to perform basic movement while engaging targets, transition from primary to secondary weapon, execute vehicle emergency egress procedures, and conduct live-fire exercises in a controlled environment. Additionally, instructors will make students familiar with the psycho/physiological effects induced during deadly force or life-threatening confrontations and measures to effectively minimize their impact on engagement decision making during JET Training.
Requirements
ECS Medical Support Instructors will perform classroom and laboratory instruction. This instruction involves delivery of formal course curriculum in the areas of Basic First Aid, and Defense Health Agency (DHA) Combat Lifesaver/Tier 2 Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC). ECS Medical support Instructors shall provide for daily set-up and maintenance of all medical training aides utilized in ECS training.
Candidates shall possess a minimum of two (2) years documented tactical military operational experience involving:
- Providing military first aid or emergency room / trauma center care.
- Have knowledge of basic and advanced training techniques
- Have knowledge of computer technology application as it applies to instructional presentation and the use of classroom training aids
- Have two years of experience as an instructor delivering training.
- Possess above average communication skills and the ability to comprehend both verbal and written instructions.
Candidates shall also possess:
- An instructor certification (from the military or civilian equivalent)
- Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) certification
Security Clearance:
Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.
