Position Overview The Medical Writer I is responsible for generating and preparing draft clinical genetic testing reports for review by genomic analysts, geneticists, and laboratory directors. The Medical Writer I will initially work within standard office areas onsite in Marshfield, WI. The option to remain onsite, work hybrid (onsite and remote), or work 100% remote will be presented after one year of work upon approval of their director based on performance. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with a weekend rotation. Essential Duties Compile clinical genetic testing results and prepare a draft report. Develop sample reports for client and sale inquiries. Assist in the testing and validation of novel report templates using internal software. Apply excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a particular proclivity to detail. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues via interpersonal skills in a team environment. Ability to manage confidential information. Ability to set priorities, multitask, and troubleshoot problems effectively and efficiently. Ability to become proficient with new software programs rapidly. Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork. Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization. Ability to work designated schedule. Minimum Qualifications Associate Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Medical Technology, Life Sciences Communication, or a related field as outlined in the essential duties. Demonstrated strong grasp of genetics principles, specifically zygosity and genetic variant nomenclature. Demonstrated familiarity with genetics terminology. Demonstrated computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Software. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications Coursework in genetics. Laboratory experience with DNA. #LI-ER1 Salary Range: $31,000.00 - $50,000.00 The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Marshfield on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
