The Security Guard will be primarily responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees and visitors by patrolling and monitoring the premises and personnel to ensure a safe and clean environment for everyone.
Interrelationship: Will be interacting with all staff and visitors to the site. Will be communication and enforcing Safety protocols and policies, identifying, and reporting risks to program director.
- Secure the premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting the building, equipment, and access points.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Controls traffic by directing drivers in and out of the premises.
- Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
- Ensure that the entire premise is always kept clean.
- Ensure that offices are locked, and premises is secure by end of shift.
- Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
- Call police or fire departments in case of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrence.
- Maintain organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Good written and verbal communication and ability to follow instructions.
- Knowledge of Security Operations and Procedure
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
- Familiarity with report writing and safety management.
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills
- Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
- Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense
- Excellent judgement and objective skills.
- Ability to remain calm and exercise emotional control.
- Possesses high integrity and ethical behavior.
