What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Team Lead position at Prevost/Volvo Bus?
The Parts Team Lead coordinates activities to maintain and raise the level of customer satisfaction in the Service Network. The candidate will manage and grow long-term customer relationships while increasing sales. They will also support service operations, inventory accuracy, and provide parts delivery information.
Core Responsibilities:
- Support internal and external requests for parts needs including parts orders, return, credits, and debits
- Resolve any overage, shortage, or billing/ ordering discrepancy
- Provide response for quotation requests, back order problems, and expedite as required
- Communicate inventory issues when appropriate
- Participate in job related training
- Respond to customer inquiries
- Receive documents and shipments from branches, outside vendors, or the factory
- Locate and ship parts from branch inventory and prepare shipments to customer
- Package parts and accessories for shipment to the appropriate destination
- Assist parts sales specialists in the processing of orders and back orders
- Safeguard organizational and customer information confidentially
- Respect the policies, rules, and values of Prevost
- Foster teamwork and improved communications
- Develop personal and professional skills
- Act as a worthy representative of Prevost
Required Competencies:
- Basic computer knowledge of MS office products, especially in spreadsheet applications
- Automotive experience is a plus
- Solid technical parts experience
- Open and positive attitude
- Excellent Customer focus
- Communicate efficiently
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing customer demands
- Proven ability to work cohesively in a team
- Other languages like French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, etc. is a plus
Minimum Education Required:
- High School diploma or GED
